Substrate repair

Remove the coating on the concrete substrate, and polish it flat, keep clean and dry

Levelling

Level substrate surface with HM repair putty,

Setting out

Set out on steel plates

Drilling position confirm

Confirm drilling position with metal detector, avoid rebar in the concrete, drill hole according to setting out. 

Anchoring

Then plant chemical anchor

Steel plate treatment

Remove rust, and roughen the surface, flatten the plates, clean surface with acetone. 

Prepair adhesive

Mix the adhesive according to the required ratio, stir the mixed adhesive in low speed until it is evenly mixed without bubble and with even color. 

Apply adhesive

Apply the mixed adhesive onto the surface of concrete structure and steel plate surface in the same time. Adhesive on the surface of the surface of steel plate, should be thicker in middle, and thinner on sides. 

Bond the steel plates

Bond the steel plates onto the concrete substrate, keep plate surface flat and smooth in cross sections, bending or angle of steel plate is not allowed. 

Fixing and compressing

After pasting the plates, screw tightly, and compress evenly until the adhesive is pressed out evenly. The compressing direction should be from one end to another or from middle to sides. Thickness of the adhesive should be controlled from 2mm – 2.5mm. Remove the adhesive out of the edge after compressing. 

Maintenance

Until the adhesive cures absolutely. Let stand for maintenance after the adhesive cures. 

Inspection

Knock the steel plate pasted, no hollow sound is allowed. 

Protection treatment

Anti-corrosive coating and anti-fire coating is needed to protect the steel plate.
