The area, located below the third floor of the beneficiation plant building, is plagued by severe corrosion, delamination and spalling of concrete, and requires structural strengthening to maintain safe operation.

The concrete has been delaminated, exposing the internal steel bars to the corrosive atmosphere of the mine, damage occurred over the entire length and width of the beams and slabs, and large through holes were formed in the ceiling due to extreme corrosion. The maintenance area includes 2 beams and 3 ceilings, requiring a total of 1,000 square feet of carbon fiber.
