Carbon fiber unidirectional fabric:

Unidirectional fabric does not mean that carbon fiber filaments are contained in only one direction. It has carbon fibers in both the longitudinal and transverse directions. However, there is a large number of untwisted rovings in one direction (usually the warp direction), and a small number of spun yarns in one direction, which serves as a fixed function so that the carbon fiber fabric will not spread out. The strength of the entire carbon fiber fabric is concentrated in the direction of the untwisted roving. Its strength has nothing to do with its own weight, and is only related to the carbon filament.

Carbon fiber bidirectional fabric is a fabric with two directions of force
