Project Overview 

A high-rise commercial residential area project, a shear wall structure, 18 floors above ground and 1 floor underground. As the original structure is designed as a shopping mall, the height of each floor is 4M. According to the new use requirements, it is now changed to residential and the floor height is 3M. It is necessary to open a part of the opening in the concrete shear wall, which involves the adjustment of the position of the door and window opening, and it must be reinforced. After consultation with the design unit, the experts decided to adopt the construction method of bonding carbon fiber for concrete reinforcement after demonstrating.

Reinforcement materials and performance indicators

This reinforcement project uses Horse carbon fiber products. There are two kinds of materials used for reinforcement: one is carbon fiber cloth, and the other is the adhesive agent matched with carbon fiber. The main technical data of the HM-30 carbon fiber cloth adopted this time: the fiber type is high-strength carbon fiber, the fiber tensile strength is 3650N/mm2, the elastic modulus is 234500N/mm2, and the service life is unlimited.

Inspection and acceptance

During the construction and reconstruction of the project, the supervisors tracked and inspected the construction quality during the construction process, and conducted careful inspection and acceptance of the construction quality of the reinforcement materials used and the carbon fiber cloth paste and other processes. And before the construction of large-area reinforcement treatment, the three units of supervision, construction, and construction jointly make a model on the site and select a location to make a tensile test sample.

The construction quality of the carbon fiber-reinforced concrete project of the reform project passed the acceptance test and met the requirements of the design and related regulations.
