Why Composite Strengthening System?
For decades, steel plate bonding, concrete cross-section enlargement and steel jacketing have been the structral strengthening methods of choice. But corrosion, bonding degradation and installation difficulties are always challenges that need to be overcome. And the resulting retrofits usually increase weight, reduce available space and/or clearance.

Compared with traditional structural reinforcement and retrofitting methods, the main advantage of the FRP composite strengthening system is that the use of easy-to-apply composite materials can significantly increase the flexural, axial or shear strength without increasing the weight or mass of the structure.

1. The carbon fiber reinforced material itself is relatively high in strength and light in weight. After the reinforcement construction, the appearance of the original structure is basically not changed, and the weight of the original structure is basically not increased;
2. The carbon fiber reinforcement construction process is simple, the construction period is short, and the efficiency is very high.
3. The carbon fiber itself has a high elastic modulus, and it has a better control effect on temperature cracks and rust expansion cracks after reinforcement.
4. Carbon fiber reinforcement almost does not require bolts and anchors and external compression, and almost no damage to the original concrete structure.
5. After the carbon fiber reinforcement method is adopted for the reinforcement construction, there is no need to deal with the interface during the decoration construction, and only sand and paste in the later process of the carbon fiber sheet construction.
6. When the carbon fiber reinforced double or triple layer is pasted, because of its thinner thickness, there is almost no influence of the shear moment due to the thickness increase, so the reinforcement effect is better.
7. Carbon fiber cloth has a unique reinforcement effect on the narrow working surface due to its flexibility and windability.
8. Carbon fiber reinforcement can reduce a lot of unnecessary manpower, material and financial resources, and save a lot of construction time.
